The entire #CNNfail episode on twitter has made many people take a second look at their news sources and question their motives. And here is the big question alot of people are now asking:

The Big Question: Are TV news channels like CNN, FOX News, and MSNBC in the business of delivering pertinent news to their viewers or are they in the ratings & advertising business?

Well, we think more and more people are going to be asking this question due to twitter’s popularity as a Social WEdia (a.k.a citizen journalism) site.

Therefore, in light of the rise of Social Wedia, we’ve just launched #MSMfail – (MSM = MainStream Media) http://MSMfail.com is where we tweet about the MainStream Media failing to do their job. Now you can read real-time tweets of what people are saying about CNN, Fox and MSNBC.

In addition to the popular http://CNNfail.com, you can now go to http://FoxFail.com and http://MSNBCfail.com to see what people are tweeting about each individual mainstream media news station.

Please note: If you want your tweets to show up on the respective websites for surfers to read be sure to include the #MSMfail, #CNNfail, #FoxFail or #MSNBCfail hashtags in your tweets.

Please follow @MSMfail on twitter…

In recent days, the CNNFail.com website owners have received numerous emails from the CNNfan.com people (siteadmin@cnnfan.com) demanding that we shut down the site CCNfail.com “immediately”.

The CNNfan people claim that CNNfail infringes on their “CNNfan” copyright and that we are cybersquatting.

Talk about delusional. #CNNfanfail.

The CNNfan people are obviously upset about the entire #CNNfail fiasco on twitter and are attempting to take their frustrations out on CNNfail.com. Well they need to realize that Social WEdia has taken over. No longer do people have to rely on a handful of sources for news and no amount of intimidation by CNNfan will change that.

The CNNfan vs. CNNfail drama has given even more meaning to http://CNNfail.com – and the CNNFail.com website will continue to be available as long as the internet exists. We promise you that.

Its Day #5 in #CNNfail and #IranElection and its interesting to see the Social WEdia story unfolding.

Turns out the video clip of Rick Sanchez addressing #CNNfail live on CNN Sunday afternoon (without actually mentioning the #CNNfail tag by name mind you) has had over 22,000 views on youtube at this time:

On Tuesday there was an intense discussion at the @140conf Twitter conference between Ann Curry from MSNBC and RickSanchezCNN about the whole #CNNfail issue. Rick Sanchez continued to defend CNN. Although there may be more to the story that Rick didn’t tell his viewers.

Today, CNN continually aired the story about how President Obama killed a fly during an interview. The video played for millions to see while retweets of an article asking if Twitter was the CNN of the NEW Media Generation was read by 1000s of people.

I’m starting to think that CNN is just hoping all this #CNNfail drama will just blow over and be forgotten. But I dont think so. Social WEdia is not only a form of collective communication but also collective intelligence. WE all are getting smarter by sharing information in real-time without filters. It’s the rise of Social WEdia.

Now that #CNNfail is part of the Social WEdia movement CNN’s world will never be the same.

- follow Social WEdia on twitter

——–
BTW, I will be changing the @CNNfaildotcom avatar to green in support of the people demanding democracy at #IranElection.

Ok so it’s day 4 of the #CNNfail fiasco and the #CNNfail hashtag on twitter is still going strong. Social WEdia rules.

CNN has recognized the importance of Twitter & other social networks but has still failed to mention the #CNNfail tag. Isnt the #CNNfail tag and people’s demand for more Iran coverage news in itself?

Also today, CNN anchors were supposedly mentioning the twitter usernames of people in Iran that were informing the world of what was going on… not a good idea when the Iranian government would love to quieten their tweets. That kicked off a fresh round of #CNNfail tags.

Seems like a lot of people are realizing #CNNFail is a news revolution. I like to call it The Rise of Social WEdia.
